Right so my friend recently got into PC gaming after he saw my new computer and i was wondering if anyone could find me a decent PC priced around £400 as he wants a warrenty not for me to build it lol. I want him to be ok for a while and don't worry about keyboard and mouse but if they do come with even better. Also some suggestions on monitors would be good. Thanks in advance...

£400 won't cut it. prebuilds cost a lot more per part and he won't be set for a few years unless he plays lol, or runescape. so, ya. sorry mate

well the specs arent bad

but i bet they're using cheap components to run the rig so its not optimal

if your budget is 400 pounds, i suggest getting a skylake cpu and use the iGPU for now, and add an dGPU later if you crave for more graphical performance

Wait what? The PC has a GTX 970. o.O Only thing that "could" be an issue is what PSU they are using in that system.

no offence but i don't think you can just assume that, and you can't run AAA games on a igpu

i agree, but you cant run AAA games on any gpu you can afford with that budget too, and you're cutting down on your cpu just to fit a gpu in there

so you're pretty much at a deadend on upgrade path, my option atleast allows you to upgrade the graphical horsepower and have the cpu horsepower to match

You do know this come with

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 6400 at 3.3GHz Turbo

don't you?

im speaking about your 400 pound budget my friend, not the prebuilt lol

as i mentioned, the prebuilt comes with great spec, just that some components might be of cheap quality and it wont be that reliable (like the psu for example)

Those prebuilds aren't that bad, seen worse. But the asking price is a tad bit high.
