I am looking for a lga 2011 mobo in either atx or micro atx form factor for a single xeon e5-2670 without wanting to upgrade to 2 anytime soon. I want it to be as cheap as possible but with usb 3 (not needed but preferred). I am in the uk so uk links only

Yeah, see, here's the problem, you have an E5-2670 which I'll bet you got for a song since server resellers/refurbishers have a glut of them, but the consumer motherboards for workstations are not so cheap.  An X79 mobo on the other hand, on the desktop and workstation front, these things are still great and have HARDLY slid in value since you could buy them new.  You're looking at like $180 USD or so for a motherboard for that chip.

Well that sucks. I'm also on edge of buying ebay E5-2670 but best mbo i could find is 250$ shipped to eu. But  that way around for a bit more i can get newer i5 setup that has better single core performance and clock for gaming. And i care only about gaming performance, not editing videos.

It's newer that easy isn't it :P If it was, everyone would be doing it
