First, please don't tell me to buy a new cooler, I am going to! This is just a temp thing

My question is, will a stock cooler be enough to keep a FX-8150 cool at 100%?

All answers above in short:

Stock cooler is for cooling cpu straight from the box. Its for those who don't think about noise, temps and overclocking. If any of those things is your priority (or important), then aftermarket is better. AMD stock coolers perform bit better than Intel ones.

This question has so many variables, what is your ambient, how is the cooling of your PC, etc. but if you don't OC it then yes.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

Honestly, the stock cooler is meant for that... it's just not meant for overclocking

A stock cooler isn't going to magically turn into a 200CFM Delta a MAX RPM. If you run the CPU as is, it'll be fine.

This also depends on the internal layout of your case. If there isn't much room, the stock cooler might be too underwhelming. Just look at the workstation video Linus uploaded recently.
