so over the past few day i have noticed the frames on my laptop slowly going down. at first it ran at 180-200 frames a second while playing league but now it is down to 40-50 frames. it doesn't matter what video settings i have it on and its not suddenly spiking just consistently bad.

the laptop is a hp pavilion running on windows 10 64-bit

- intel i5 5200U

- 12GB ram

-nividia 940M

- 2TB HDD (13% used at 4% fragmentation)

I have tried updating drivers then rolling them back and reinstalling them.

cleaned the registry multiple times

turned the laptop off unplugged the power supply and took out the battery

defragged twice now

updated processor drivers.

but still only getting 50 frames in league. anyone have any ideas i'm at a loss besides doing a factory reset

how old is the laptop?

clean out dust

monitor your clock speeds and temperatures

make sure you don't have framerate limiter enabled in game

gpu was running at 50c - 55c which i didnt think was too high

cleaned the dust multiple times as well i think ive used half this can of air haha

and frame rate limiter has always been off for league.

unsure of the clock speeds will have to check that but the load only hit about 30%  while playing

laptop is less than a year old probably about 6 months old cant quite remember sorry
