Please Help Me

I'm thinking of building my first PC, I have two options, http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/ZRHQjX or http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/BtGwMp is there anything I can improve for cheaper? I'm trying to keep it a blue and black theme.

erhm well I am not really a computer expert but I think they can agree on me with this:

get a 120 GB SSD(solid state drive) and 1 TB HDD (hard drive) a 1TB SSD is pretty expensive you might aswell get a 120 GB and put your OS(operating system(windows)) on that and put all your games on the 1 TB HDD.

I am not a computer expert however I can tell you things from my experience and from things I've heard on this site.

I'll try to help you as much as possible and suggest other things if needed.

Don't take this for granted and always do your own research!

Go for a Sapphire or XFX R9 390 if you want more preformance

SSD are steadily dropping in price to align with HDDs. Getting a 1TB SDD now would be a bad investment because it can honestly be half the price next week if the trend continues. At most I would say get a 250 GB one (for OS and some games/programs) for now and a 1TB HDD for mass storage. You'll save some money that way and won't really break your performance.

Spoiler

1) 250gb ssd + 2tb HDD will be better, unless you need fast storage for a lot of things

2) an R9 390 will perform better than a gtx 970 in a lot of cases, especially in DX12, i highly suggest getting a 390

3) kinda high wattage for a system like this, 550W if you opt for the 970, 650W if you opt for the 390 for a ton of OC headroom

Spoiler

1) if you're gaming, get skylake, and you dont need i7 for purely gaming unless you stream while you game or uses the cpu horsepower in other tasks, though DX 12 will benefit from more threads so this is a valid point, but get a skylake chip, you will benefit alot from DDR4 due to higher memory bandwidth

2) higher higher speed ram, it will help you in games when its cpu intensive

3) same ssd comment as above build

4) same gpu comment as above

5) same psu comment as above

if you wanna get ddr3, might wanna consider the xeon 1231 v3, its non-overclockable but its an i7 with the price tag of an i5

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I might suggest swapping to the 212 Evo. Will run a little louder the h7 but will perform better.
Look at Radeon cards as well. Also, if you can swing the I7, might as well over the I5.
