Air cooler choice!

Go to solution Solved by Aytex,

go for the shadow rock

Hi all!

So recently, maybe yesterday or the day before I posted a topic about noctua coolers. Well it turned out that I had to spend some money on other things and now I don't have money for such an expensive cooler!

My current choices are either a hyper 212x or a shadow rock slim cooler from be quiet! they are very similarly prices here in Hungary. I know people always recommend the 212 evo, or the 212x as I don't see many differences. But the shadow rock slim looks soo much better in my opinion. I'm just curious if there is any performance gains with either. i will run a i7 3770 none k so the overclocking does not matter. But I hate how loud and ugly the stock cooler is.

Thanks for your input!!

For the future if you aren't overclocking almost any cooler should give you acceptable temps, you could even do a passive cooling heatsink if your case has good airflow

Well I already ordered the shadow rock slim. And my current case is an old asus case that has no fans. So I do need a cpu cooler. I just want to have a quite system.
