Possible suggestions on various parts

Achtas

Greetings there, wanted to inquire in regards to some parts of a build I am planning. Main questionable part being the watercooling matter seeing as that is something that I have never bothered to poke around in. But seeing as summer is approaching, I'd prefer to keep the temperatures down before I manage to nearly brick my PC(Current one already showing some occasional anomalies, plus is far too old to meet needs). Plus keep things a bit on the more silent side seeing as it runs pretty much 24/7. As for load, mostly keep it for gaming and considerable (read:stupid) amounts of multitasking. There might be some smaller bits of rendering and compiling here or there but that is not really worth a mention. So yeah, budget fairly decent, no need for peripherals or screens. Pretty much just need to replace the case for now.

Right, as of current, the plan is as follows(With some parts still not quite there IE fan controller, tubing, temp sensors etc):

Motherboard:

Asus Socket 1151 Z170-DELUXE

CPU:

Intel® Core™ i7-6700K

Memory:

G.Skill DDR4 32GB (4x8GB) Ripjaws4 3000MHz CL15 XMP2 Blue rev2

GPU:

2x EVGA GTX 980 4GB HYDRO COPPER GAMING

Chassis:

Thermaltake Core X9 (Simply cause I already have it)

Storage:

Samsung 950 PRO 256GB M.2 PCIe

Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB

Western Digital Black WD2003FZEX 2TB

PSU:

SeaSonic Platinum 1200W

Sound:

Asus Xonar D2X/XDT

Cooling:

Rad:

2x Black Ice Nemesis GTX 480 Radiator (Since I already have one, so might as well get second and make separate loops?)

8x Noctua NF-F12 PWM Premium Fan - 120mm

Case:

NZXT FZ 200mm (For front intake)

CPU:

EK-Supremacy EVO - Full Copper (Original CSQ)

Pump/Res:

Either EK-XTOP Revo Dual D5 PWM Serial

Or 2x EK-XTOP Revo D5 PWM - Plexi + Some resevoir

Or EK-XRES 140 Revo D5 PWM (incl.pump) - Glass

Memory:
EK-RAM Monarch X4 (Possibly if I find different memory that supports decent block mounting)

you dont need i7 if you're just gaming, but you can go ahead and get it if you want lol

i recommend vengeance lpx or hyper x for skylake builds, ive seen rams not posting with skylake and these are quite consistent

dont go dual gpu unless you're already using the best gpus

overkill psu wattage, but meh, no harm to performance, just extra $$

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I7 simply for the matter that where I am, the price difference is only 60Eur, so kind of worth it.

I'll take a look at the suggestions.

And insane overkill PSU for the reason that it runs fanless on lower usage. And can locally find it for a rather decent price. Plus no load means that I can add whatever else I want for a considerable amount of time without having to replace it.

And to be fair, was questioning the dual or single GPU as well.

Those were the thoughts that is.

Yeah, no, that would be nice but that is the equivalent of 3x GTX980s price wise :D

Might actually go for just one 980Ti for now and down the line add another one. Cause yeah, two of those is a hint pricey for a single go considering other parts need to be bought as well.
