So i currently have a pretty crappy setup nothing special, but my gpu has shared memory which is 4gb from my motherboard so what im wondering is if thats better than a 2gb gpu, the graphics card is a gtx 745, dont know mobo specs off by heart, cpu is a lga 1150 i7 4790, 16gb ram ddr3. will add screenshots of what i am talking about with the shared memory thing later.

I don't think it's possible for standard computer hardware to share RAM with the gpu. The gpu has its own memory.

The Gpu its self doesnt have any ram on it what so ever, i am currently at school and will post pictures in about an hour or so, both of the specs that it shows on my computer and that of the gpu

gpus use a different memory formate they cannot "share" RAM

It has probably 4 gb of ddr3 for vram

but the biggest question why do you have a 4790 with a 745

i previously had a prebuilt computer, got a corsair 780t case upgrade the mobo, and am currently saving for a whack ton of new parts, im just trying to find a cheap decent gpu because the 745 is dying atm XD, so i am wondering about the shared memory bit

As you probably know, RAM (Random Access Memory) determined how many, and the intensity of, the programs you can run at once. A graphics card has VRAM (Video Random Access Memory), which determine how graphically intensive a program can be. For example, an R9 390X has 8GB of VRAM, which means it can house a very graphically intense game. HOWEVER, this doesn't determine how fast the GPU will be (determined by Clock Speed, stream processors, etc.) which is why cards such as the 980ti > R9 390/390X.

it has vram not ram

It's still RAM, just found on the video card's own PCB.

i used to have the 260 and it was bad

This is the "limited edition" 250 that runs 200MhZ higher than a normal 250, with a higher boost clock and more stream processors and CrossFire support.

well since my gpu has "shared" memory which is supossedly 4gb, is it better than a 750ti with 2gb of vram

No because it's using system RAM as the storage which is considerably slower than memory used by a graphics card with discrete memory.
