Upgrade for gaming

I want to upgrade my rig to play on full ultra settings (+60fps).

 

 

This is my setup at this moment:

 

CPU : i5 4690k @4,5GHz

MB : Asus Hero VII

RAM : corsair dominator ddr3 2x 8Gb

PSU : Corsair ax760i

GPU : evga 980ti SC+ AC+

Monitor : 2560x1440p 

cooling : Custom Watercooled EKWB

 

what do you recommend : a second 980ti (PSU?) or replace the MB to Z170/x99?

If the fps you are getting currently isnt enough, getting a 2nd 980ti, or waiting for pascall would be a good plan of action. Your current PSU should be enough for 2 graphics cards.

Upgrading the motherboard/cpu will not make a significant improvement in you fps in games.

Well honestly I don't think there is anywhere (yet) to upgrade except getting a second 980ti. Honestly, that should hold you for now, I would recommend waiting to see what Pascal and Polaris have to offer.

Umm you should be ale to do that right now  adding another 980 might make it worse if you SLI for games. SLI doesn't seem to help much

Or overclock the GPU?

but this one is not a great one, I can reach max 1400MHz

In 'the division' I can play on ultra, but not with all the graphic options on.
