free website hosting

i started creating a web page off a template at wix.com found here

until i realized how awful the URL was going to be

 

is there a site i can get free hosting with a nicer url?

requirements are i must be able to use a template or copy what ive already made across

1. you gotta get/buy yourself an URL if you want a website with a URL that has a future  

2. I'm not sure many websites are going to host for free without their URL slapped onto of it  

3.Yes there are other websites that your could create your website with a template

yes im sure you are correct. having their company url involved isnt going to kill this, but the wix url was so awful. using my site user name and website name and wix name.. too much!!

i dont need the url to have a future more than a month or so

I'm not sure tbh, if it was me, I would just buy a URL for a year (they are like $1.5 for one year) and host it with my server as I can easily get a free HTML template online and since I know the basics of HTML, it's going to be quite easy for me to be able to edit and get a website like how I want it

Head over to themeforest and buy some html template. Dont even bother with that wix shit. When you're done buzz and I'll give you hosting on my dedicated server for free (if you're not going to create porn site). About "URL" you'll have to buy domain. Use namesilo for that.

You can't get a free URL, that's not sponsored by another company.  You're going to have to buy that.  I'd recommend Squarespace to do that.  Looks pretty good to me and (obviously) recommended by Linus.
