Hi Everyone! Long time LinusTechTips Youtube watcher, first time forum poster. :)

I would like to know if anyone here knows of a USB powered and controlled thing that can move. Something that can rotate, maybe move up and down? And preferably cost less than $30?

My goal here is to have something I can plug into my computer and tape or glue a cheap webcam onto so I can control it when I'm away. I accomplished this before with a dream cheeky USB missile launcher, but that was something I already had laying around so it didn't require any financial investment. I can get more USB launchers on eBay for around $30, but I'm hoping one of you fellow geeks knows of something cheaper.

Thanks, Jason.

Look around robotics websites for USB servo controllers. I think Trossen Robotics has one.

Thank you. The parts on that website seem way to expensive for this little project of mine. I appreciate it though!

Google around for USB servo controllers. You could always just make one with an arduino and some adept programming skills.

unless you already have some parts ist not going to happen for under $30 even with a cheap ebay microcontroller and servo motors.

Case: Phanteks Evolve X with ITX mount  cpu: Ryzen 3900X 4.35ghz all cores Motherboard: MSI X570 Unify gpu: EVGA 1070 SC  psu: Phanteks revolt x 1200W Memory: 64GB Kingston Hyper X oc'd to 3600mhz ssd: Sabrent Rocket 4.0 1TB ITX System CPU: 4670k  Motherboard: some cheap asus h87 Ram: 16gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz

Thank you. These are still to expensive. Some Googling didn't find much in my budget either, at this point it's looking like it would be cheaper to just buy more USB missile launchers on eBay, since they go for $35 to $50
