I recently bought a NZXT HUE+ and it's working great except for one thing. The little box that controls the LEDs has a white light stripe on it. Even tough I have turned off my computer it's still turned on. Why is that and how do I fix it?

It gets power from a molex 5V and is also connected to the motherboard via USB.

I think you can't if its 5V. 5V leds only turn off when the PSU is turned off. You could put some black tape on it, though.

I would say check the software, but other than that there really isn't a way.

You could get an inline molex power switch, but that would add a lot of cabling and a button to flip when ever you want to turn it off.

Try taping a piece of paper over it. I have paper taped to so many lights it's not even funny lol

5V should still turn off when the computer shuts down. The separate 5VSB rail stays up, though.

The LED strips may be powered by the molex adapter, but the controller box may be powered by the USB header.

Check your mainboard manual to see if there are separate USB headers powered off the 5V and the 5VSB rail. Some motherboards offer multiple USB headers where some turn off with the computer, and some don't (so you can for instance still charge a phone or wireless headset when you're not using the computer). They are also usually marked with a different color.

Alternatively, check your BIOS settings. Some motherboards don't have separate USB and power-USB headers, but allow you to turn that feature on or off for all or some USB headers from the BIOS.
