Cutting Steel?

I have a Dremel 7700 with a 540 Bit. I am doing a custom build and I need to cut steel, to be exact I'm going to cut an Ammunition Box I've already tested cutting it with the Dremel and this is the first time I am working with steel (only plastic before). What is the best way to cut steel? I'm not talking table saws, I just need ideas. Thanks!

 

Edit: I have glasses so I need goggles that fit. Any suggestions please? Also are the sparks like, safe? Should I wear gloves?

 jigsaw is the way to go in my opinion, dremel cutting blades are too expensive and you burn through them too fast, even on aluminum. id suggest wearing gloves, less for the sparks than for the rough/sharp edges after cutting the steel. use a rasp and files to clean up the cuts and smooth the edges. as for goggles any cheap pair should be fine, i usually use old sun glasses (but i dont wear glasses). keep your fingers BEHIND the cutting blade or your new nickname will be stubby. if your cutting a perfect circle consider using a hole saw (its like a tubular drill bit). good luck, post some picks of the mod.
