LF Gysnc+IPS

Hi Guys, 

 

I hope someone will be able to help me in the right direction. 

I am looking for a G-Sync monitor which is also IPS, 1920x1080 and 24inches. I wont mind 27inches. 

 

I currently have a 144hz Aoc monitor but most of the time I can't go beyond 60Hz in some games since their engine is built that way so going beyond 60FPS is out of the question. 

At the same time, I don't like the color of the monitor, as I also have an IPS monitor and color seem so much richer on that one. With setting my games at 60, I notice a lot of screen tearing and I don't rly want to turn on Vsync (for example Street Fighter 5 has more input lag with Vsync on). So in my head, I think Gsync is the way to go. I've been searching around on Amazon but haven't been able to find one yet.

1920x1080 is out of the question, my friend. You'll be spending at least USD $799 (before taxes in some states and/or jurisdictions) on a monitor with IPS, G-Sync, and a minimal resolution of 2560x1440.

I understand, but I still need to keep my options open. I even considered getting the Acer Predator curved at 1.3K US but I prefer to buy what I actually "need".

Well you're outta luck then. You can go with IPS and 1080p with no G-Sync, but with the marketplace, you'll find IPS and G-Sync only on the high-end offerings because that's what people want, plus higher resolutions. G-Sync on 1080p isn't really being demanded a lot compared to 1440p or 4K. There's G-Sync on 1080p monitors, yes. But only with TN panels, if you're willing to sacrifice the more accurate colors and viewing angles that IPS has to offer.
