Hey, i have a corsair k70 rgb mx brown keyboard and i want to replace with one wich use mx blue switches. My first option is and was ducky shine 5, but seems that is not available in europe. I think is not available in US either, so maybe i need to choose other manufacturer. I am looking at simple keyboards from big manufacturers also, like Filco, Das, Leopold, WASD, but all looks kinda the same, more or less (at TKL versions). So whats the difference in them and wich one you recommend ? Maybe one from another manufacturer ? TKL and full versions.

"like Filco, Das, Leopold, WASD,"

Filco is....well... their quality is superb

disagree? check here  (or check anywhere in geekhack)

careful with Das, it's not they are bad or something, just... look into it before buying, their newer ones use Gateron switches which might be a different feel than cherry (which could be better for you or worse)

WASD is good (it's mentioned in the thread above^, check it to learn more), and you can also custom it (yeayyy)

Leopold well... I can't say anything about them since none of my friends own them nor I've "touch" one

Das doesn't, and never has used Gateron switches. I believe that the brand you're thinking of is Gaote or Greetech. They have since switched back to Cherry MX, from what I've heard. Gateron switches are better than Cherry MX, and that's a fact though...

Anyway, Leopold is right up there in terms of quality with FIlco, and they include dampening mats in their boards to help mitigate any ping. I also like WASD. I'm typing on a WASD board right now, actually, and it's pretty good to type on. Customizing the WASD boards isn't really worth it, since the 'custom' caps still use cheap ABS... (I prefer ABS to PBT generally, but only nice ABS, not cheap ABS...)

@OP, if you ever try one of these boards and compare it to a board like, say, the Logitech G710, you'll immediately notice a huge step up in the feel of the board. They just feel so... Quality...

Hey! New SIgnature!

I'm supposedly a person on the Internet, but you'll never know if I'm human or not ;)
