2.5" hard drive

a friend of mine gave me a new 2.5" 750 gb hard drive still in the package for my desktop. i put it in but it only shows up as 60 gbs and 299 mb. it says 750 gbs on the hard drive. does anyone know why it is only showing 60 gbs?

Format it, / delete the partition and reformat it etc

Computer management>storage>disk management

Look for the right disk/drive and delete the parts or just format them all via right click menu

when i pull up the drives on my pc it says only 60 gbs.

What does it show in Disk Management?

If you right click on the 60gb should day extend click this and follow on screen insturctions
