DVI: No signal

DVI: No signal at random times. Monitor goes black turns back on but every icon on the screen is gone expect for the start bar icons, cant do anything but manual shut down. Is this coming from my monitor or graphics card? I have a HP pavillion that came with my pre-built i have a new case now and getting some problems.

Probably either your graphics card or drivers.
