pretty sure you cant but you can get an adapter of amazon or ebay for $2 roughly :)

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Since IDE and S-ATA don't share the same protocol, it will be incredibbly difficult to hack an adapter together... Just get a cheap (but not too cheap) IDE to S-ATA adapter off ebay or amazon. I got two for myself if I ever have to copy some files off an old hard drive.

Hey there :) welcome to the forum!

As the guys suggested, there are different types of adapters both for external and internal usage. What's the drive's brand and model? Woudl you like to use the drive as a regular storage drive or to simply get your photos off of it?

Have in mind that if you want to reuse that drive (internally or externally) it would be a good idea to check its health beforehand so you are on the safe side that it doesn't have any problems from previous usages. The manufacturer of the drive should have a tool available on their website. Have in mind that if the drive does have any problems, any testing might further damage it so a backup is strongly suggested before you proceed with the diagnostics. :)

Feel free to ask if there are any questions!
