It's hyperthreaded. Not as good as four full cores, but close.

There is this. Probably the cheapest i5 system. Also remember that while the i3 is a physical dual core windows will see it as a quad core because it is hyperthreaded.

Yes. The FX-6300 is not the best.

AMD CPU do not have great IPCs (instructions per clock) and even the I3 6100 even beats it in mutithreaded benchmarks.

No. AMD and Intel CPUs are VERY different. Intel uses pads and and uses pins. The motherboards are not capable at all. The i3 6300 uses socket LGA 1151 while while the FX 6300 uses AM3+.
