I am installed sm 951 ahci ssd ,Intel i7 5820K,Gigabyte G1 GAMING GTX 980Ti NVIDIA Graphics Card - 6GB,MSI X99A XPOWER AC
but cold boot time is still 18 seconds with eufi mode..fast boot enabled. Windows 10x64
Why so long with msi x99 ? does asus have faster bios for booting or other brand motherboards?

I would say 18 seconds is pretty fast already!

There is a certain amount of initialization that has to happen when you start a pc that does not depend on the speed of the SSD, Loading windows isn't the only thing going on.

I would say that at sub 20 seconds your doing pretty well!

In my experience (since I have one), AsRock boards have been the quickest. They have 'Ultra Fast Boot' which is so fast it has to be accessed through a utility in Windows as it's too quick to get into by hand. You do have to have a UEFI install of Windows and UEFI enabled on your card as well, though.

Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention my boot/BIOS time. 5.4s for the last cold boot according to Task Manager. It actually takes around 7-8 seconds to get to the lock screen from the moment I press the power button. Windows logo barely even shows up :)

Gigabyte is also pretty quick based off of my experience from that, even though my dad's PC has an HDD it boots pretty quick because the Fast Boot cuts a bit of time.

I think the boot time depends a lot on the bios, and I suspect higher end mobos are actually slower than lower end ones as they need more time to initialise all the extra stuff on them. My main system has an Asus Maximus VIII Hero, and it takes forever to get to the point where the OS starts loading. A low cost Asus H81M-Plus setup I built on the side gets through that in relatively no time at all.

Would be interested to hear if this matches other's observations since although I have a handful of systems, there is an awful lot of kit out there.

I don't find boot time on the Hero to be a problem anyway since I rarely turn the system off. I just wish monitors would wake up faster.

( higher end motherboards are actually slower) I think this is true ..anybody have X99 motherboard with faster cold boot time ?Will asus bios with csm options disabled help more with faster bios loading?

I think X99 motherboards just dont boot that quickly (probably cause they have more stuff to initializes).

My brother has a X99 MSI motherboard and I have a Z97 MSI mobo, mine boots much faster so its probably not a MSI wide "problem".

BTW: 18s on is pretty fast (if you count from pressing the button to opening chrome in Windows).

Try disabling some of the bios setting that allow booting over ethernet or such, and see if there is a fast boot option, also you can change for how long the post screen is displayed.

X99 takes longer to boot than Z97 or Z170.   It is the nature of the chipset.   My Media PC boots in half the time of my main rig even though I use an NVME drive in the Main computer and a cheap PNY drive in the media PC.

Tell my tale to those who ask. Tell it truly; the ill deeds along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly.
