I did a new install of windows 7, then got the upgrade from microsoft for windows 10 (free).

I have three pc and did new install for all of them.

I found this to solve my issue

internet protocal version 4 (TCP/IPv3) propertires

use the folowing DNS server addresses

208.67.222.222

208.67.220.220

now edge connects.
