MicroSD support

My phone only supports up to a 64GB MicroSD card, and I was wondering if I could buy a 128GB card and then format it into two separate partitions and be able to use both partitions. Or would I only be able to use one of them?

What phone do you have? If your phone supports microSDXC, then it should support up to a 512GB MicroSD card (think?).

A Galaxy Avant, which only supports 64GB carts at the most...

Could be that it's just an old spec sheet. SanDisk's thing says that you can use 128GB SD cards.

Samsung's spec sheet says 64 gigs. Regardless, that doesn't answer my question.
