System not posting

Basicaly rebuild my desktop, Completely and now i'm getting nothing.....Any ideas of how to sort out the problem?  Aside from putting it on a test bench and swapping parts....That will take a while

mobo battery is probably dead if its an older system

Rebuilt? So it was working, you rebuilt it, and now it wont boot?

Full story is i was taking out the power supply to paint the ketup and mustard cables 

I did it.....Brought the power supply back in and decided to take out the motherboard to re position 2 fan chords........And attempt to reinstall my cpu cooler it had moved a little.....I did both things and put everything back together and it acts like it doesn't even have power......Nothing.....

Only thing i can think of is that i dropped my cpu from like 3 feet on the heatsink not the pins and picked it up fast.....But it should still boot right? Then give me some cpu error? I've never had to do this.
