Recently I got a lot of money at once, almost enough to buy half of my computer parts. I was wondering if I should start buying the parts now, since I know what I want, or if I should wait until I have enough for everything.

Build: (doing video editing in college, had the hard drives already)

would be best if you can wait

or you can buy things that arent going to change much like the case, keyboard and mouse, and power supply if you see them on a good promotion

i dont recommend getting things that are evolving like the cpu, motherboard and gpu especially

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I would advice that you only buy parts that you know you won't change...for example Case, Keyboard, Monitor, Mouse....Then invest in parts that are likely not to change...SSD, Hard Drives...but wait to buy the other things that are more price volatile or are going to have new versions soon...processor (skylake has been dropping in price), motherboard, ram (dropping in price), and video card (new versions coming in a few months).
