Recently my gaming build has stopped working, or working partially. whenever i go to turn it on, it will post, it will start onto the windows 10 boot screen and it will do 1 of 2 things. 1. it sill die, almost in a force shutdown kind of way, where it will just quit. or 2. it will boot into windows i will log in, and it will crash, or quit in the same way.

I have tried diagnoseing this problem myself but have nothing to go off of other than when trying to run and aida64 stress test it will stop saying there is a hardware failure.

My System:

MSI 970 Motherboard

16GB Hyperx Fury Ram

MSI GTX 760 GPU

2TB Segate Barracuda

Inland 500 watt PSU

all inside a CFI Taiji

Going by the problems and the fact that as far as I can tell Inland makes trash tier psu's. That's probably the problem, your PSU is nearing death.

that is what i was thinking, but i don't know what psu to get, weather i should get a better brand psu of the same wattage, or go up to a higher wattage with a better brand.

(ha sorry, read OC as OS, damn dyslexia)have tried swapping ram, with no cigar. and i can't try it without no gpu for the fact that the 970 mobo does not have a display output.

Do you have another gpu you could try in the rig? or perhaps a psu?

I am trying a different psu, but i do not have a different gpu

Do you ave another PC you could use that gpu in? Honestly I feel like the gpu or cpu one has been shot at this point. It may be the board though. Do you have remote access enabled? you could use rdp or some other remote connection to bypass the gpu.

Well if the gpu is the issue then you can still boot without it and check rdp, ping, or even just file sharing.

Can you boot into a system repair os like hirens or ubcd?

You can try resetting the cmos, I seriously doubt it will change anything but at this point the other option is to buy/borrow other parts.
