Is this build good?

So I'm planning to build myself a computer for gaming. I'm not going to do vr, hardcore video editing just school projects, no 4K just a single monitor 1080p 60 fps the games I'm going to play are witcher 3, dying light and minecraft which is heavily modded. It it could be nice if the computer was future proof. And I might when I get the money add a second monitor. I know the psu is overkill but I might also add a secondary graphics card if it becomes necessary

Definitely a good build you got going there. The 980Ti is definitely future proof, however, it is a little extreme for 1080p even considering the games you are playing. You'll do just fine breaking 60FPS, and if you are okay with it, I would wait for next generation video cards like Pascal and Polaris to come out instead of just buying a 980Ti now.

If you want a big power supply for extra cards, try this.

Its even more wattage than the one you chose, is still 80+ Platinum, and is modular, and is cheaper than the corsair. More power for less money :)

MSI GE72 Apache Pro-242 - (5700HQ : 970M : 16gb RAM : 17.3" : Win10 : 1TB HDD : Razer Anansi : Some mouse) - hooked up to a 34UM58-P (WFHD) in dual screen

iPad Air 2 (for school)

iPhone 6

Xbox One Forza 6 Limited Edition Blue

looks good

maybe drop the 980ti and go for a 970 and then go with x99 with a i7 5820k it will help you more in video editing and modded minecraft and the 970 will play most games a 1080p just fine

Looks alright,

I would go up a generation though, the new skylake series is out and its advantage of DDR4 can consume less power as well.

BTW: I have that MB, very bad-ass in performance and OCing

Minecraft only uses 1 core... 2 with optifine 6700k is better than the 5820k for minecraft
