Socket problem?

Hi.

 

Sitting here working on my new pc and i have gotten in to a littel issue, my socket is an LGA1151 so its a Skylake. and the cooler i have is a darkrock pro 3 and i cant find the 1151 socket in the manual, is it not campatible with the LGA1151 socket?

Have i fucked up?

The socket is the same mounting type as the previous generation so it will work

The 1150/1155/1156 mounting will work. All of the LGA 115X sockets use the same mounting system, including LGA 1151. It's just that the cooler was around before LGA 1151, so it's not in the manual.

Everyone has.
That's the worst thing about the cooler. They did such a great job on the design and cooling, but the mounting is just terrible.
be Quiet knows that, but now it's too late. They'll probably change that with the Dark Rock 4 and Pro 4.

All so i dont quiet understand how the cooler is held in place from the illustations. it is the first time mounting anythin but the stock cooler.

Do you think this is going to be a problem?

the screw on the bottom for the cup socket is no letting the backplate go all the way down it stops in some type of fome

Is it upside down? Wounldnt want it eventually coming loose
