Correct monitor position?

I know this may vary from user to user but... what do you guys think, the monitor should stay in pararel with your eyes? down? up?

 

searched the forums but found nothing regarding this

i am of the belive center of monior should be parralel with eyes.

doesnt really matter though.

i ask this because mine is lower atm, and i think i tend to go down which hurts my back

 

i've read that we shouldn't use it above our eyes somewhere so that was the reason why i lowered it

The 'proper' way is to have the top of the monitor parrel with your eyes and to ahve it angled approx 10-20 degrees towards the ceiling, this is to reduce glair and protect your eyeballs! 

but I know literally nobody who does that...

I prefer to look up at my monitors as (IMO), it improves my posture and also I feel more comfortable in doing so. 

It also means my monitors are elevated so i get more desk space ;)

yea i sometimes watch builds setups and i can see that a lot of users actually uses the monitor little bit above the eye

 

i had to get mine out of the desk because i couldn't stand it so near to me lol might as well give it another chance with different setup
