Uh...at least in my case, Windows 7 is supposed to wake up whenever you move the mouse around or touch a key on the keyboard? Unless I am reading something wrong entirely. As for the second bit, hibernation mode is disabled on my system.

Go to your LAN chip and disable Shutdown Wake-On-Lan:wake-on-lan-shutdown-wake-on-lan.png

 

and/or use the recommended settings for sleep: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/778-power-plan-settings-change.html

Open explorer and type this in the location bar to run Network and Sharing Center: 

C:\Windows\explorer.exe shell:::{8E908FC9-BECC-40f6-915B-F4CA0E70D03D}

Go to the left hand side and press "Change Adapter Settings", right click on your adapter, click "Properties", click "Configure" located under your adapter name, and go to the Advanced tab to get this option.
