Is this the correct way to connect

Stealthster
Go to solution Solved by -rascal-,

The fans on your CPU cooler are in the wrong direction.

The rear case fan is pulling air our of the computer, and your CPU cooler fans are pulling air AWAY from the rear fan. They are directly opposing each other.

This is what you have right now (NOT what you want):

This is what you WANT to have:

fan_direction_2.png

99.999% of computer case fans Should have arrows showing which way the fans rorate, and which way does the air blow out.

Sorry but this is my first build. Is this the correct way to connect the vga cables to the gpu?

Those are power supply cables, and no that is not the correct way to connect those cables.

It looks like you need 2 8pin GPU power connectors not just an 8 pin and a 6pin

They're typically referred to as VGA or PCIe power cables. Though you're not wrong, they also full under power supply cables, but that's sort of a given.

Thanks for pointing that out. I thought the orientation of the fan was correct as the air would be pushed towards the case fan but as you said it's the opposite. And I still haven't turned it on. Good eye!
