I am trying to figure out what kind of build I should do. I am a high school student who lives at 2 different houses and travels between them 3 times a week. I plan to game mos to the time and maybe do some CAD like things in the future. I am not big into PC gaming yet but I want to try and get into it so I want to be able to play games decently. I have decided on 4 options that I want to go with but feel free to give me ideas of other ways to go.

1.) Buy a Custom Built Gaming Laptop:

               Specs:

               HDD: 750GB HDD

                              Cost: ~$1575 USD

2.) Build a High-End SFF Mini-ITX Gaming Build (Want it to last the next 4-6 years so I can use it to finish high school and use it for most college):

               GPU: GTX770

               RAM: 16GB Vengeance Pro

                              Cost: ~$1650 USD

4.) Build a SFF APU Gaming Build (to last 2 years and build a new and amazing desktop in college)

               Specs:

               CPU: AMD A10-6800k

I'd say get a small power rig that's portable--it doesn't need to be that expensive though.

Here's my recommendation: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1ECl9

Replace the cooler and case stock fans.

2 120mm's in the case and a single one underneath the cpu heatsink. Single 80mm to the side.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

I would go with the second build. I personally get a Seagate Barracuda 2TB instead of the Caviar Black because this drive gets pretty hot and its the same price as a 1tb black.

@WunderWuffle what was that bag thing again that holds a computer?

Um... The one from FrozenCPU? Computer strap, monitor

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Forget about the bad memories of the past, take the good ones along with you through the present, and look forwards to the good things that will come in the future.
