Hello everyone. I am here to ask if there is anything that I should change in this new X99 build that I am starting to look at. Also I am wondering if I should sell my X79 build and get an X99 build or wait for the next X series chipset before upgrading. Whatever Skylake-e will be...

X79 is still excellent and there hasent been enough change to make it worthy to upgrade yet, but skylake-e might make a improvement.

i mean if your going X99 why not use a skylake processor

Mouse: Logitech g402 <3

Keyboard: Some Tenkeyless with blue kalih switches

Headphones: Logitech g430

Monitor: HP w2207h (1680 x 1050 @ 60hz)

PC Specs:CPU(AMD A8 6500 @3.5ghz), Mobo ( ASUS A68HM-E  FM2+), 1x1600mhz 4gb stick of ram, Random grey PSU, 920gb ssd

Phone: Iphone 5 32gb

Tablet: Ipad 2 16gb

Laptop:Toshiba satelite with 8gb of ram a 480gb ssd and a mobile 2nd gen I3

Keep X79, skip X99, and upgrade when Skylake-E arrives.

You could get he Xeon E5 2670. They only cost about 70US on Ebay and have 8 cores and 16 threads. They run at 2.6GHz and turbo to 3.3. I was able get mine to run at a 106.8 baseclock and it runs at about 3GHz all the time now. Definitely a good upgrade for rendering and it will hold its own in gaming too.
