GPU Overclocking not registering

DmoTraz

Forgive me in advance if this is a noob question I'm VERY new to PC gaming

Currently running an

MSI GTX980Ti gaming 6G golden edition

Game: GTA V

I have set my overclock in Afterburner to +60 on the core and +55 on the Memory

With the stock clock my game is running 58-60 FPS at 1400 MHz core roughly

Once OCd in Afterburner my game is still stable but rarely reaches the 60 FPS stable rate (hovers at 58-59 FPS), and tops out at 1375 MHz core

What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks in advance

turn v-sync off and see if that helps, I was locked at 60FPS until i turned it off

Your overclock was so small it made almost no difference, push it more.

push the overclock more and use a benchmarking tool like heaven or 3dmark to test the stability of the system. Also, as said, make sure you turn off v-sync and keep an eye out for the temps of your gpu.
