Gregrs

I'm just hearing about this now, but to my understanding it's like the internet, but completely unrestricted? What? Could someone explain this to me?

(sorry for double quote)

the internet as you know it, ( google, yahoo, bing) is basicly 1% o the actual internet. the deep web basicly hosts site that would not be able to be accessed due to different ending( such as .fr or .us or.org) most deep web sites use.onion( tor) and the thingis, its not like google.com. its more like 93ujd.com. so you need the actual website letters. its not a whole word. the website iteself is like a password, and the only way to get inside is to have the right combo of letters and numbers

You're thinking of the dark web, a hive of scum and villainy. There you'll find all kind of illegal and extremely unsavoury stuff. I strongly advise you to stay away from it.

So, theoretically, could I find deleted/hidden youtube videos? I used to watch this guy a while back, but his channel was deleted. Such a shame :/

The deepweb is the areas of the internet that are not indexed. Basically every computer and network that is connected to the internet but does not have a URL or other way to directly access it. Everything from corporate networks to security cameras. Using the TOR browser you can connect to some of these machines if you know the special addressing used to find them. Again, this is not indexed by google and is subject to change.

Due to the anonymity involved from this as well as encryption, some people / organizations have setup unrestricted information including everything from illegal drug sales to child pornography (Darkweb sites). There are also legitimate uses for this technology such as keeping sources identities protected by journalists.

thereoretically, IF the videos were downloadrd, and seeded for other people. hidden, no, deleted, no. its not a back door to your nouse. its going out the front door and jumping the brick wall to your back yard

Technically the deep web is 99% of the Internet, it just isn't accessible. But the true deep web that you would commonly think of is a minuscule fraction of even the surface web. That is just a bunch of criminals, perverts, and teens in search of weed. The real 99% number comes from anything that would not come up in a Google search. (Cloud storage, bank accounts, email accounts and etc.)
