Mixed parts list request

500 US dollar budget, Tower only, and looking for the following: New case, psu and storage, used cpu, ram and mobo. (No video card as this is not intended for a gaming environment and more geared to a business environment)

I want to see how good of a deal i can get for this price.

I'd say go ebay for a haswell system of some kind. Depends what you're doing. I built a Pentium G3250 system for about $150-200.. Good luck :)

Oh, I can do that too.

 

Actually just did this the other day (All new parts here, used parts pricing fluctuates a lot. You would have to shop.

Just wondering, why would you get a used CPU? You can have a $500 build that will perform very well.

Used cpu is really good if u find a bargain as it rarely fails.

Yes, but used CPUs are only good for very budgeted builds. I was able to fit an i5 6400 in there comfortably without getting anything used. On top of that, you get warranty.
