currently i have a R9-380 4Gb which has some power but i wanna upgrade and this is where i need help, do i buy another R9-380 and run crossfire or sale my current 380 and just buy a 390 or possibly save up for a 390 and run crossfire with my 380 and 390?|

Im thinking that i should buy another 380 then when i have enough buy the 390 then sale the 2 380's and buy another 390 with the money from the 2 380's. my problem with buying 2 380's is that not all games run crossfire so if i get the 390 and run it with my 380 it will be good for reassurance games will run fine with and without crossfire|

im on a fairly strict budget so i was thinking it would be quicker to just try and sale my 380 and get a 390 but then again i honestly dont see it putting out more power than the 2 380's|

i have a corsair 800w psu and my pc is pretty much bare for gaming so besides all the necessities i have nothing extra.|

the dual 380's would have more power then a single 390 but the single 390 will cause less problems because you wouldn't have to worry about crossfire support and scaling issues.

how much more power are you thinking?

R9 380 crossfire would be around 10-20% better than single R9 390.

There isn't any 380 test, but you can see crossfire 280 performance vs 290.

But that's benchmark performance. In reality when you will be playing games, I don't think there will be 10-20% difference but maybe like 5%. That is if you won't have any problems with game and crossfire compatibility.

I would go for single 390 and later if you want you can buy another 390 to do crossfire.

But for 1080p gaming you won't need 2x R9 390 since single card can run anything at 60fps (not those MMORPG games that are CPU hungry).

Thanks for the advice man I've been looking all over for good benchmarks of the 380 and 390 but none of them seem to be around on Google and shit or their setups make no sense still would like to see some good benchmark comparisons tho
