980 sli or 980 ti

hey hopefully someone can help me out with this....i have a 980 right now and im trying to figure out if i should go 980 sli or 980 ti? Please someone some help

Just SLI the 980, you'll get a bit more performance and there is no need to waste a card.

Two 980 are way better. If you have sufficient PSU and a SLI-Ready motherboard, do not hesitate.

What games, target frame rate and resolution are you shooting for?

Well the 980's in SLI are technically more powerful as long as the game has SLI support, but usually you get lower minimum framerates with SLI and a less smooth experience. 

 

I would sell the 980 and buy a ti.

I prefer single GPU, because SLI may be very painful sometimes in some games.

or sell the card when the new gpu release and buy the x80

Indeed, with the new cards coming out that may be a better choice.

Just go the sli route, you don't have to go through the trouble of selling a card, or having an extra card
