Hey everyone,

My current system is beginning to fall to its knees due to the games currently out there, and along with the new games coming around the corner. So, I feel I need to purchase myself another graphics card without bottlenecking my little dual cpu hero (i3). However, I am really low on cash and I hope you guys will give me some good advice on what video card I should purchase.

For my budget, I figured I could sell my GTX 550 ti and hope I can borrow some cash from my parents or even sell my Xbox 360 Halo 3 limited edition which I hope can get me some cash from that as well.

The current cards I am looking at: HD 7870, HD 7950, GTX 760

Current system:

MOBO: P67A-C43 (b3)

GPU: Gtx 550 ti (factory overclocked)

CPU: i3-2120 (3.3ghz)

RAM: 16gb DDR3 (1600mhz)

PSU: Antec 620w Continuous

Monitor resolution: 1600x900

Thanks for your time :D

Bonus question: What is the i3 2120's limit on a video card till it bottlenecks?

I was going to say 7950, but at 1600x900 a 760 will be more than enough and your shouldn't have any majoy bottlenecking issues.

I will eventually upgrade my cpu, but we will see how much the Xbox sells for. Until then i will be focusing on the graphics.

7950, you can get them for the same price as 7870s

I saw this a while ago and that the 7950 is a steal, however, I found a 7870 that was $175 which is very tempting.

if you wanna get a 760, get a 670, they perform better at 1080p than at 1440p

I do like the 670, although its a $100 more then what I would like to be paying.

Thank you guys for the replies, my mind seems to be made up. I think I will grab an HD 7950.

By the way, anyone might know how far an i3 2120 can go? Not too far as the 7950 Im sure but still curious.
