You apparently can because I did. I just re-entered the code and its back to normal

A licence key is only for one computer, so when it checks activation it will flag the key as already being used and deactivate it.

I share a windows 10 license between my Laptop and my Desktop, and I just noticed the watermark in the bottom corner of my desktop. It wasnt there before, and windows was officially activated. What happened?

well its fine if your computer is only on one at a time, if both are on at once you might be screwed

because your windows license might get black listed :D

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Yeah technical this is against the EULA. Like others have said. MS could deactivate the key if they detect 2 installs.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Well its worked so far, and I haven't seen an issue. I technically own a copy of WIndows 8 from G2A but never redeemed it

The best and only real way to solve this issue is getting another legit copy of windows and installing it on the other computer.

Just because it has worked before doesn't mean that it will again or should have in the first place. I wouldn't risk running it like that anyways because they can invalidate your key.

Ok. I plan to get another key eventually. Probably once I upgrade to 5820K
