Hello,

I am looking for recommendations for a motherboard. I am looking for a full atx board that looks great with a  black light theme and has thunderbolt. a lga 1155 socket would be preferred but I have not acquired the processor yet so that is still open. if anyone has any ideas that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Is there any reason why you don't want Haswell? Generally, newer motherboards have better features like better onboard sound, any stuff like that.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

I am open to haswall . I just didn't mention it because I have not looked into it much. as for price point I am thinking up to $300. the Sabertooth Z77 is a great board but I am looking for something with thunderbolt built in if possible. (not required) as for graphics card I  am thinking a gtx780 with a custom water block. I don't plan on sli now but maybe in the future.

I would really go with Haswell if you have a $300 for a motherboard... Look at the Maximus VI Formula.
