How Much Would I Get for a Dell 2950?

I have a used Dell 2950 server that I got from a friends workplace. I want to sell it to earn money for an upcoming build of mine.

How much would I be looking at recievieng for this unit?

Here are the specs.

  • 2x Quad Core Intel Xeons (5320)
  • 32GB DDR2 ECC
  • 4x 750GB SATA drives
  • Dell DRAC
  • External SAS card
  • 2x redundant PSU's
  • Intel X520 10GB NIC

Holy sh*t my heart sank right there! I thought a mod gave me a warning or something!

I'd give it $300 USD considering the server is so old.

About $150 USD. That's the price I picked up a similar spec'd model for running an SQL database + Nginx.

lol I was thinking the same. Servers seem to lose value so fast!
