Evga gtx 970 acx 2.0 stuck at 100% fan speed

Vizenre

Hello,

I have been running my 2 gtx 970's in sli but when I took the second card and put it in slot 1 to run single mode, it starts at 100% fan speed and even with msi afterburner etc. It won't change.

Can anyone help me?

Try flashing your bios. That might fix it. It essentially restarts the whole cards system.

Maybe it's a BIOS thing? it seems a bit odd xD to be honest.

Hope this helps :P

No, I mean completely flashing it. So its a fresh new bios.

look at the bright side, atleast it wont overheat now right? xD

if you have other system, try putting the card there see how it fares

also, check the temps, the temp sensor might be saying the card is overheating thus ramping up the fans

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately
