Since I installed my 2 580's, I have problems with windows not booting properly. With the first boot of the day or if the pc restarts, after the windows icon, I will not get any screen input. My mouse and keyboard also don't light up.

After a hard reset all is fine, but it is still very annoying. I also can not open Edge, or run firestrike, because windows will crash also and the pc will restart.

PC specs:

CPU: 4790k at stock

GPU(s): GTX 580 MSI LIGTNING

PSU: Corsair RM1000

MB: Asus maximus Hero VII

EDIT: I have installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 Pro, since Home did not give any video input after the windows icon.

EDIT2: Problem is partially solved by installing older driver (Firestrike works), but windows restart issue still presists.

My current rig:

CPU :Intel I7 4790K , MOBO: Asus Maximus Hero VII , STORAGE: Plextor m6e 256Gb + WD Black 3Tb, GPU(s): 1x ASUS STRIX GTX 1060, PSU: Corsair RM1000 , CASE: Fractal Design S.

Mb, did not mention I had this problem with the last NVIDIA driver as well (362.00). Btw, safe mode ALWAYS boots without any problems.

Don't bother with any of the new drivers on your GTX 580s. Try anything below the 36x.xx drivers. 353.62 always works good.

Even with my GTX 980s i never really bother updating my driver. You never really need to unless performance or overclocking has just fallen dramatically.

You're welcome. With issues that the new driver has had for some people it's always good to keep a backup of an old one.

Its odd though that new drivers have these problems, you expect it would only improve :/

I just restarted my pc a couple of times, and the startup problem still is there :/. I observed 1 time that the circle that goes round with the windows logo gets stuck. Also no lights are on from my keyboard and mouse. Sounds like a windows problem with me, but installed a fresh copy 2 days ago :/.

Not too sure what could be causing that issue unfortunately.
