I am into music production and many times get stuck while producing.....

I use ableton as my main DAW and it uses enormous cpu processing

Thinking about assembling system specifically for DAW.

Suggest CPU (both intel and AMD) focusing on Multi-Threading and Multi-core processing !

*(Have already considered upgrading RAM)

*(Will not consider upgrading to an SSD)

Currently using a mobile Intel i5-5200U @2.20GHz (Low to mediocre loads only; Pathetic)

P.S. : DAWs and the VSTs used in it are like CPU Hogs

I don't really know, I have limited knowledge on AMD CPUs compared to Intel cpus. I (personally) would pick an intel cpu due to its hyper threading but thats just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt. The best advice I can give you is to look up the recommended hardware requirements for your DAW.

I think an AMD fx 8300 could work since it's at 7,577 falling under the Strong category.

INTEL , but it depends on your budget, used xeons like the e5 2670 go for like $70 US on ebay and are 8c/16t but a mobo can cost around $200, but if you have a bigger budget you can get two of them and run them off of a dual socket mobo.

 •E5-2670 @2.7GHz • Intel DX79SI • EVGA 970 SSC• GSkill Sniper 8Gb ddr3 • Corsair Spec 02 • Corsair RM750 • HyperX 120Gb SSD • Hitachi 2Tb HDD •
