What games can I expect to run on integrated laptop GPU?

Hello everyone

I'm just wondering what games are able to run at 60 fps on integrated graphics (I'm talking about HD 6100 or 620).

Would it be able to play, for example, terraria at 1080p or higher? Are the integrated graphics even powerful enough to play any game smooth at 2560 x 1600 and 50/60 fps?

Source games like TF2 and CS:GO would probably run fine/at high settings, you can play some recent triple-A titles at absolute lowest settings.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

I know you can't expect-triple titles on it, but less-demanding games? Can they play at a 2560 x 1600 resolution for example?

Around lower settings, with mid-low settings and no aliasing likely.

Probably not actually.  Considering something like an R7 250X would struggle with that.  Unless he gets Iris Pro graphics, that's not really going to be possible.

Here's a league benchmark a google search turned up on HD6100 which seems like a good sample of how difficult of a game to run you might expect to be viable on laptop graphics at different resolutions.

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.

  • 3 weeks later...

Intel Iris 6100/620 is as fast as Nvidia's low-end 800m/900m series, (do correct me if wrong)

so:

1)Read up online on what games can the GPU run, what settings, resolution, etc

2)Also check the refresh rate of the display

If you want to game at 60 frames per second, that display MUST support 60 hertz or more

3)If it can't hit 60fps despite meeting both factors stated above, then you're not cooling it properly

Facing the area where heat can be felt against a fan (maximum speed) MAY help.

Hope that this helps (DO NOT WATER COOL YOUR COMPUTER unless you KNOW how to do it PROPERLY)

sorry for the caps but i need to put some emphasis on it, otherwise you may damage your computer unknowingly
