i5 4th gen 4690k or i5 5th gen 6600k

i am considering building a system for gaming and am debating if waiting a bit longer would be 100% worth going the more expensive route of the 6600k than the 4690k. I am fortunate to have a computing shop near me (http://www.powerc.com/) and am seriously debatin saving up my money for the better system. both will use a msi gtx 660 but i am not sure on what i would be better of doing for gaming. i  am also debating the newer ddr4 over the ddr3 however going with ddr3 would save me money as i already have 8gb ddr3 from a previous build

You don't need it considering you would get about a <~10% performance increase. It is the build everyone want's but doesn't need, skylake would help if you are wanting to upgrade in the relatively close future.

4690k is flawless, if you want to get into overclocking 6600k takes the cake.
