Update Issues

So I reinstalled Windows, but every time I try to update it fails.

I think it's .NET Framework 4 that causes it. It caused the Nvidia update to hang, Windows Update doesn't work, and when I try to update Framework 4 it also hangs.

 

Any ideas? Redo the Windows install?

I had this exact issue when installing Windows onto my SSD. I tried rolling back to a previous update (restore) but was unhappy I was having a problem with a fresh install so I just reinstalled Windows again. 

Do you have the option to install the update while turning the computer off?

Nope, it just sits on the Windows Update screen, with the blue bar scrolling.

I formatted the SSD, so I can't think of why it won't accept the updates.

Could you provide us with a screenshot of the error, is it failing all updates or just a single one?

Random Thought: I've had updates in the past fail due to the clock being incorrect on the operating system that prevented me from getting updates before.

Hmm. I never thought of the clock. I'll check that.

It doesn't really fail, it just doesn't do anything; sits there for hours "checking" for updates.

I just want to play The Division damn it!

I think if we can get a screenshot of the update screen that might help steer us into the right direction, there are a ton of things that could cause windows updates to freak out on. Sometimes it will take days to finally get them all and install them.
