Keyboard not recognized on install

So on the install of Window 7, I need to choose a name for my PC, but, once I enter the in 7 install it for some reason no longer recognizes the keyboard and mouse, I'm using USB2.0 ports and I can't access the BIOs for what ever reason, any solutions?

try using different ports?

You can't access bios cause you're keyboard is obviously not working. Try connecting the same keyboard to a different pc and test if it actually still works, do the same for the mouse. If it doesnt then you need to fix a new one and if it does work try different usb ports, sometimes a pc is very picky about that.

Keyboard works, I was able to use it to choose the install. Mouse works too used it earlier on in the install, and i tried both on another pc, worked fine.
