So after using a office laptop for gaming for 2 years I want to build a computer as where I live(Singapore)pre-built computers are very expensive because taxes...well after a week of planning I made up this build and now I'm not sure if it will work...maybe its too late as I've already gotten some on the stuffs in my build. And also I want to show how insane these things cost in Singapore.

Motherboard+CPU:Asus B150 Pro Gaming Aura+i5-6600-$545 (Bundle)

HDD:WD Caviar Blue 7200 1TB (2+1Yr)-$77

SSD:Samsung 850 Evo M.2 250GB- $149

RAM:Kingston Hyper-X Fury 8GB DDR4-$105 BROUGHT

GPU:Asus GTX960 Strix DC II 4GB-$419

Case:Fractal Design Define R5 -$169 BROUGHT

Power Supply:Corsair CX600M Modular 600W 80+ Bronze -$119 BROUGHT

OS:Win10 Home (64Bit)-$158

Optical Drive:Asus DRW-24D3ST 24X DvDRW SATA -$25 BROUGHT

Monitor:AOC 21.6" M2261FWH LED Monitor-$189

So will these things when put together will work?

Would like to know as this is my first time building it and of course next time I'll upgrade it but for now this is my build :)

I would love to hear from you guys what you think should be replace in the future and advice I should when building it xD

And THANKS IN ADVANCE xD

I would suggest getting an R9 380 (4G preferably) because it will give you a bit more performance

Also the PSU is bad, CX and CS PSU's have been known for having really bad capacitors, so keep that in mind.

Welcome to the forum,

Using PCpartpicker can help identify any compatibility issues. As for the graphics card, I would go for a better one such as a r9 380 if it's in your budget. but seriously $419 for a 960? I could probably pick one up for half that here. That's insane.

you can get a 980 for $420 here lol, well go for a R9 380 or whatever fitts your price point if you dont need the NVIDIA features like ShadowPlay

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Wait. M.2 storage for a mid range build? That's expensive. Also get a better PSU.

Still M.2 doesn't make sense if you are going on a budget.
