Hello everyone,

in this site I found that charging the phone's battery often should increase its number of cycles, therefore its life. It says that discharging it from 100% to 0% makes 250-300 cycles possible, while a discharge of 10% makes 4000 cyles possible. Isn't that just because 4000*10 = 400*100 ? Isn't that just the same thing? How is it better then? It's faster to discharge a battery of 10% rather than 100%, aren't those 4000 cycle going to last as long as the 300 made with a discharge of 100%?

cycles just means how many times it has been charged and drained, so more cycles mean the battery has probably degraded more :)

my macbook has 1300 cycles, and it has 60% of its original capacity left :)

Lithium batteries degrade more rapidly from full cycles than from half-cycles to the point where you should gain a little more than 2x longevity. However, keeping the battery in a high level of charge for long periods of time also degrades them.

So if making a full cycle takes 24h and making half cycle takes 12h I should anyway make half cycles? Their number would be double the full ones'
